This programme is specially designed for those who have genuine interest in the elephant welfare and really want to have a direct experience taking care of domesticated elephants. The one-day programme is made possible also for those with time constraints but with so much of love for the giant animal. The activities are very simple but will allow you to gain insights into the elephant welfare issue and also learn local and cultural practices from local mahouts in the environment surrounded by woodland and by the scenic River Kwai. This will be an unforgettable experience for everybody who loves elephants!

Itinerary

09.15	Pick up from hotel in Kanchanaburi town, then proceed to the rescued elephant place.
10.00	Upon arrival, enjoy the activities as following; • Meet staff at the elephant place and their elephants. • Make sticky rice for the old elephants. • Gathering food for the elephants, i.e. cutting bana-grass, sugar cane or banana plants. • Feeding the elephants. • Daily activities: washing fruits, cleaning the elephant’s area, helping mahouts, etc. • Help bath the elephants in the Kwai Yai River, scrub them (and yourself if necessary!). • Bring the elephants back to the forest, were they will stay and enjoy feeding overnight.
16.00	End of the day. Set off a journey back to town.
16.30	Reach the accommodation.
