Day 1 : War cemetery – Bridge over the River Kwai – Train journey – Elephant riding - Hellfire Pass Memorial

Pick up from hotels in Kanchanaburi town by A/C van.

Visit the Donrak War Cemetery where thousands of late POWs lie peacefully underneath. Commemorative notes written by their families on the stone plates are worth reading.

Proceed to the Bridge over the River Kwai.

Upon arrival, take a nice walk on the historical bridge. Nice time for photos.

Experience a train excursion from the bridge to Wang Pho stations along the Death Railway. Notably, when it approaches Tham Krasae station, the train will run in parallel with the River Kwai and give the most impressive view of the river.

Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Proceed to elephant camp.

Be excited with soft adventure on Elephant riding through the forest .(30 min.)

Proceed to Hellfire Pass Memorial.

Upon arrival, learn about the moving story of WWII from the most comprehensive exhibition of the memorial’s museum. Then take a walk downhill for a site visit to glimpse the Death Railway remnants and the infamous ‘cutting site’, the namesake of Hellfire Pass, hidden in the bamboo forest hills overlooking the River Kwai valley.

Proceed to a family-run Treehome Treesort - a simple but nice and quite accommodation on the river bank

Resort Details : There are 3 types of accommodation at this peaceful and cozy place: earthen houses, bamboo huts on a tamarind tree and bamboo huts on the river bank. Three small rooms on the tree are equipped with simple facilities such as mosquito net, mattress, blanket and pillows with one shared bathroom. Two earthen houses with bathrooms inside, but decorated in a different style. One earthen house has two beds and the other has three beds. They were built by natural materials to make visitors have a sense of nature as much as possible. The other 3 bamboo huts are well nestled, hidden in the bamboo thickets, in harmony with nature along the river slope, equipped with simple facilities and external shared bathrooms. All these accommodations are basic with minimum facilities, but with a reach touch of nature

 




Day 2 : Jungle trek – Bamboo rafting – Hot Spring – Patad waterfall

After breakfast, set off a journey by car for a jungle trek in the forest nearby.

Upon arrival, start trekking into the jungle. Enjoy walking along the non-touristy trail and the wilderness of the area. Gain some Local knowledge on native plants and tree species. The trekking route is considerably easy and suitable for those of all ages.

River Journey start by bamboo rafting along Kwai Noi River (60 mins)

The Raft arrive at accommodation then have lunch.

After lunch, check out and proceed to Hindad Hot Spring. The hot spring was discovered by the Japanese soldiers during the 2nd WW period while extending the railway line to the border of Burma.

Enjoy a natural spa while bathing in the mineral water of Hindad Hot Spring.

Continue to Patad waterfall, deeper inside the tropical forest.

Upon arrival, take a nice walk along the nature trail to the waterfall. Appreciate the patterns and shapes of the evergreen forest. Relax by the fall.

Proceed to Kanchanaburi town.

Reach the hotel in town. End of Jumbo’s service.
