Farm Study Tour
25 % of Kanchanaburi area is for cultivation of which paddy rice planting shares the largest portion of the total land used for farming. The other main crops are sugar cane, corn, tapioca and tropical fruits including papaya, pomelo, sweet tamarind, grapes and custard apple. The programme can be simply arranged as an agro-tour or more comprehensively as farm study tour whereby farm visitors will have a chance to learn about the up-to-date situation of farmers and farming in Thailand from those with first-hand experience. Meetings or lectures, if required, and site visits will be arranged as significant part of the agricultuare oriented programme. This “learning discovery” programme will provide you a local insight into a local farm and a better understanding of agriculture related issues of Thailand, one of the world’s key exporters of agriculture products and the so-called “Queen of Tropical Fruits.”
Definitely, the agriculture study programme in the River Kwai valley will broaden your perspectives and knowledge as it did to others before.
